Bernadette (Berna) van Baarsen is born and raised in Amsterdam. She lives and works in France. She is best known for her colourful landscapes and portraits in oil, but she also covers other subjects and techniques.
Her unique style captures human mood and natural wilderness alike. Her use of vivid colours makes a profound effect, often likened to that of the fauvist movement.
Bernadette's work regularly appears in international expositions, most recently:
